29 cm Septarian Nodule with Ammonites, Charmouth, Jurassi
This piece of Stellare nodule ammonite bed is from Stone Barrow, Charmouth. It contains Promicroceras, Xiphoceras and Cymbites ammonites. The calcite walls are a result of the septarian preservation. These indicate where the nodule cracked when deep underground and subsequencly over time filled with calcite.
It measures approximately 29 cm in height and is 195 million years old! .
