Species: Coroniceras (Paracoroniceras) Ammonite Spath 1922

Age: Jurassic, Lias

Location: Monmouth beach, Lyme Regis, UK

Ammonite Dimension: approx. 29.5 cm at its widest point

This ammonite has been prepared with the shell intact. It has a carved centre which is fairly common with Coroniceras species. A nice light specimen completely removed from the surrounding matrix. The reverse is wave worn as can be seen in the last image displaying some of the internal structure to the ammonite.


Restoration: Carved center, lacquered to match fossil colour.
